Let the
snow begin

Winter as it used to be

Activities in winter – fresh air and rosy cheeks

Lots of SkiSki, instead of much Chichi. After a blissful breakfast you’ll be standing in Austria’s largest ski area in just a few minutes. Then return to the Wieseralm and look forward to a cup of hot mulled wine and warming up in front of the sparkling fireplace. Enjoy the peace and quiet away from the pistes on snowshoes and marvel at the sparkling white splendour. That’s winter in Wiesergut.

Pure

Winter hiking

The trees are cloaked in white, the air cold and clear. If you are looking to slow down on your winter holidays or sore muscles necessitate a break from skiing, winter hikes are a great alternative to skiing. Numerous ploughed winter hiking trails offer sufficient variety. Our tip: a winter walk to the Wieseralm.

Alpine Skiing

As a guest in Wiesergut you are in the heart of the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fierberbrunn, Austria’s largest ski area. Here, 270 km of slopes, both for beginners and more challenging ones, can be found with downhill runs all the way to the hotel. 70 comfortable lifts and cable cars will bring you up the mountain. Some 60 cosy lodges and huts await to warm up in and enjoy a snack, before the last downhill run will take you right back to the Wiesergut.

Nordic Skiing

In Saalbach Hinterglemm you’ll find two cross-country ski tracks. The leisurely track at the head of the valley offers 10 km of cross-country skiing fun for beginners and the advanced. The high-altitude track is also spectacular: On a distance of 2 km at an altitude of between 1,000 and 1,400 metres, it opens up spectacular alpine panoramas.

Tobogganing

Tobogganing is great fun not just for little snow bunnies. On two toboggan runs you can dash down into the valley and easily get back up again by chairlift. Be it on a classic toboggan or on superfast Snow-Tubes – somehow, you’ll always get back down again.

Swimming

While outside the ski circus is visiting, you can swim your laps in the 20-metre indoor pool. The ski runs stretch almost to the edge of the pool, the views all the way up to the summit. But here in our bathhouse it’s always quiet and relaxing – at any time. To the spa
