Journey by car
… coming from Austria

  • Take the A1 West motorway “Vienna-Salzburg”
  • Leave it at the junction “Wals-Lofer” (border crossing)
  • Continue via Bad Reichenhall and Steinpass (border crossing)
  • Head for Zell am See via Lofer
  • When you arrive at Maishofen, take the road to “Glemmtal” Valley
  • Cross the villages of Saalbach and Altach and continue towards Hinterglemm
  • Proceed on “Glemmtaler Landesstrasse” road passing through the by-pass tunnel
  • After having crossed the bridge, turn left onto “Wiesern” lane (second road on the left side)

… coming from Germany (no vignette required)

  • Take on A8 motorway “Munich-Salzburg” and leave it at the junction “Siegsdorf”
  • Continue towards Inzell
  • Proceed on the road and take the turn-off towards Lofer
  • Head for Lofer via the “Steinpass” (border crossing)
  • When you arrive at Lofer, continue to Saalfelden and head then for Zell am See
  • When you reach Maishofen, take the road to “Glemmtal” Valley
  • Cross the villages of Saalbach and Altach and continue towards Hinterglemm
  • Proceed on “Glemmtaler Landesstrasse” road passing through the by-pass tunnel
  • After having crossed the bridge, turn left onto “Wiesern” lane (second road on the left side)

… coming from Italy (Brenner)

  • Travel on A13 motorway (Brennerautobahn) towards Innsbruck
  • Leave it at the junction “Innsbruck Ost” and continue on A12 motorway (Inntalautobahn) towards Wörgl
  • Leave at the junction “Wörgl West”
  • Proceed on B312 road towards Saalfelden
  • When you arrive at Maishofen, take the road to “Glemmtal” Valley
  • Cross the villages of Saalbach and Altach and continue towards Hinterglemm
  • Proceed on “Glemmtaler Landesstrasse” road passing through the by-pass tunnel
  • After having crossed the bridge turn left onto “Wiesern” lane (second road on the left side)

Journey by train
If you travel by train, your destination is the station of Zell am See. From there the bus takes you to Hinterglemm. Go off at the bus stop “Hinterglemm-Wiesern”.
